ReplyDeleteYes, that’s Ida Lupino, playing Hope Harcourt, English heiress, in Anything Goes (dir. Lewis Milestone, 1936). The clue references Lupino’s role as Marie in High Sierra.
ReplyDeleteida lupino had not crossed my mind simply because her looks later in life to me were so much harsher. i remember her from lots of the 70s police shows.
