That goes with the hint, but it’s Jack Kruschen as Agent Phil Schwartz in Outside the Law (dir. Jack Arnold, 1956). Kruschen is best known as Dr. Dreyfuss, C.C. Baxter’s nest-door-neighbor in The Apartment (dir. Billy Wilder, 1960). He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in that role.
