The character is sobering up, or refusing to. If you are a television viewer of a certain age, you have most likely seen this actress, many times. But do you recognize her here? I didn’t.
If you know, or think you do, leave your answer in the comments. (Why not?)

I want to say Dianna Rigg, but I can't confirmation that she was ever on the show.
ReplyDeleteIt’s someone else.
ReplyDeleteTippi Hedren?
ReplyDeleteShe reminds me of Elizabeth Montgomery, but when I googled for images of her, I see that she has a dimple in her chin which this woman lacks.
ReplyDeleteNeither Hedren nor Montgomery. I’ll give the answer tomorrow if no one gets it.
ReplyDeleteHere’s a hint: this actress is probably best known for her role in a domestic comedy.
ReplyDeleteBarbara Eden is what I'm going with.
ReplyDeleteNot that I could easily spot her without her best-known character's bottle-as-home in immediate proximity, but would this be Barbara Eden?
ReplyDeleteTwo minds with but a single thought, but no, it’s not Barbara Eden.
ReplyDeleteAbout the domestic comedy clue: I’m giving more help there than you might realize.
Could it be Whitney Blake?
ReplyDeleteYou're right: the clue was a giveaway. Whitney Blake, a star but not THE star of Hazel?
ReplyDeleteHonestly, it wasn't the clue. It was frame three, the eyes. They could only belong to Whitney Blake. But for that, I wouldn't have got it. For a moment I even considered Barbara Bain.
ReplyDeleteYes, it’s Whitney Blake, playing Laura Church, a character a long ways from Dorothy “Missy” Baxter. The episode, “Sheba,” aired on January 6, 1961. Later that year, Blake began her role as Mr. B’s wife.
ReplyDeleteI hope you guys noticed the pun on help.
In fact, frame 4 almost threw me off. She looks too sultry for Whitney Blake, but there you go.
ReplyDeleteI agree. And the first and second images seem far too modern. There’s more to Whitney Blake than I suspected.
