Mystery actor

[Click for a larger view.]

The guys in the front seat are pretty recognizable. The one in the back, less so — I think.

You could probably take the names of the guys in the front, do a little searching, and come up with the name of the guy in the back. But Orange Crate Art works on the honor system.

Leave your guess(es) in the comments. I’ll drop a hint if one is needed.

Yes, in Johnny Stool Pigeon (dir. William Castle, 1949). Good eyes!

Dan Duryea is in the driver’s seat. Howard Duff is riding shotgun.

I thought Tony Curtis was recognizable but had no idea who the other two guys were.

This is your only Mystery Actor I guessed correctly! But like DN3 I didn't know the actors in the front seat.

Maybe I should have made this a three-part mystery. : )

Howard Duff might be most familiar from The Naked City (1948). Dan Duryea is harder to spot with a hat covering his distinctive hair. I don’t how you all are able to see Tony Curtis — for me, the hat makes him almost unrecognizable. In this movie he was still Anthony Curtis.

Maybe I could recognize Tony because I'd just seen his daughter Jamie Lee in Everything EVerywhere All At Once and was therefore used to seeing his face in unexpected form...

Frex= Fresca (my computer is not letting me sign into my blogger account godknowswhy!!!)

Is that movie worth seeing?

Blogger isn’t letting me leave comments on other blogs, even when I’m signed in. Oy.

True. This conversation is making me want to watch Sweet Smell of Success again.
