Grifting

Somehow an e-mail address that I haven’t used in years made its way to the Trump world. So I’ve been getting messages, four or five or six a day. They go straight to the spam folder, but I have to look. Here’s one that came in this morning, toward the end of the January 6 committee’s hearing:

He’s grifting even as they expose his grifting.

There’s more, but this is enough to get a sense of the pitch and its urgency (and the way it sizes up the marks). Rest assured, I have never given one kopek to any Trump endeavor.
