And then there's Ren.
I won't link, but start with "Hi Ren", a classical guitar exploration of sickness and redemption. Then do "The Tale of Jenny and Screech", a three part decent onto darkness. Refresh with "Back on 74/Message in a Bottle", a soulful update on a contemporary song melded with a classic.
Then there's an amazing duet with Chinchilla on "Chalk Oulines", as well as the showstopper that is "Money Game pt 3."
After that it's choose your own adventure.
Or Yamandu Costa, or Cooper Moore, or William Parker, or any number of musicians. But I think his point holds — that music has become "content" that's too easy to make and consume.
