Might someone have an idea why a store would be wiped out of Premium Saltines days before Thanksgiving? Is there some traditional dish that makes use of them? I welcome your thoughts.

What? Haven't you heard of the famous Thanksgiving Sardine Canapés... on Saltines?

Really, I have no idea. Supply chain issues?
That was my guess. But I thought there might be some dish I don’t know about.
F’rinstance, I didn’t know about green bean casserole until I hit the midwest.
Btw, I think sardine canapés are a food for all seasons. (Saltines, no kidding, might be the best accompaniment for sardines. They even rhyme.)
I've been reading your blog too long — I thought it said "Premium Sardines"!
