Oh, I’m glad to hear the news here. Thanks.
I feel sad for Jimmy Carter,
but perhaps he might feel it’s better she go first, since she had dementia?
I can’t imagine how awful he must feel about the Middle East…
Blessings to the Carters for their work.
I strongly suspect that he was determined to stick around for her.
I'm glad you thought so too--I'd wondered if I was romanticizing, and your perspective as a long-loved husband has merit.
Anyway, long love like theirs is romantic.
