From Christmas Eve (dir. Edward L. Marin, 1947). Aunt Matlilda (Ann Harding) gives instructions:
“Remember, Robert, when William brings Mr. Jonathan to the car, you must conduct yourself as though he had never gone away.”Mr. Jonathan, you see, drinks.
“Yes, ma’am. I even have the package of Sen-Sen to give to him before he kisses you.”
No one will ever have this conversation again, for Sen-Sen is no more.

They’re impressive.
I’m amazed to see the asking prices for Sen-Sen at eBay. Also amazed to see the little sliding box, which I’d forgotten about.
... and cigarettes. At least in the Stan Freberg version of Trouble from “Music Man” (I don’t think I’ve heard anyone else’s version).
“And braggin' all about how they're gonna cover up
A tell-tale breath with Sen-Sen”
Yes, perhaps esp. when women were not supposed to smoke. (“Blow some my way” was the line in an old Chesterfield ad.)
Think of all the clerks and secretaries who must have ended their lunch hours with Sen-Sen.
