It was surprising that Wikipedia’s Droste effect article had the Bourton-on-the-Water village model as an example. It reminded me of this xkcd cartoon on the problem of building a model railroad that contains one’s own town: https://xkcd.com/878/ . One soon encounters the Matryoshka Limit :-)
