A guest on The 11th Hour tonight: “vius versa.” And another guest, a couple of minutes after that: “stimmied,” for “stymied.”

Yep. It's a doggy dog world out there.
It occurred to me after the fact that the speaker probably never watched Our Gang shorts (Matthew Beard played Stymie).
I heard her say "stimmied" and it made me look up the pronunciation to make sure I haven't been wrong all these years. I was pretty sure I had been correct, but I'm open to being wrong!
But given there's a typeface called Stymie and I know how that is pronounced... I was pretty sure.
I saw that someone mentioned it on Twitter too. I’m not outraged — anyone can make a mistake, and you’re looking at someone who for the longest time thought that Goethe was pronounced “goath.” But it did surprise me.
That’s a real modernist font. I had no idea.
