Real news (Reuters): the current occupant now plans to refashion his proposed arch into “a complex to house and deploy drones and sniper ammunition.” And: it will sport “an eternal flame” on top so as not to endanger aircraft.
An eternal flame? Like the one in Arlington National Cemetery? This new detail, together with the destruction of the White House Rose Garden and the not yet complete destruction of the Kennedy Center, makes me think that in addition to his other maladies, cognitive and physical, the current occupant has a bad case of Kennedy complex.

Someone pointed out that the fool can get his own way at first, if he pretends something is for "national security" such as a ballroom. And such as storing ammunition in a city that has been storing ample ammunition for years. But pretending a flame is for aircraft is a new one on me.
ReplyDeleteThe fool's other trick is declaring an emergency. I can only think of a song line, "Someday the bottom will drop out."
Remarkable how the arch went from a tourist site with an observation deck to a munitions facility. A disordered personality and addled brain, abetted by flunkies and cowards, remaking the world every day.
ReplyDeletelbj also had a kennedy complex but he used his to pass certain legislation (califano's book on lbj says it best). i feel rather sad that the kennedy center could be torn down. i saw a russian opera there "war and peace!" 4 hours long.

It’s astonishing that he could make good on his threat to tear it down, and somehow karmically right that his insistence on putting his name on something might help destroy his shambles of a presidency.
