One of the reasons the new exciting Segway failed was that it wasn't solving a problem. Not going to replace bicycles, not going to replace tramping along the sidewalk getting exercise, not going to replace adult-size tricycles... So thrilling, but what was it for?
Good example. It did have a nice turn in an episode of Frasier — though that wasn’t what it was meant for.
