Alice Notley (1945–2025)

The poet Alice Notley has died at the age of seventy-nine. The New York Times has a lengthy obituary.

Here’s a poem. It’s hardly representative of Notley’s work, but I’ve always thought of it as something like a snapshot from a marriage.
