Maybe he’s a huge fan of Pete Best, and refuses he admit that Best was ever kicked out of the band.
Ha. I thought he must have been talking about Stu Sutcliffe. Either way, I didn’t realize “the day” went back that far.
Wikipedia lists several "Fab Fives," including "the five core animated Disney characters of Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, and Pluto" and "The five stars of the reality television series Queer Eye for the Straight Guy." I'm guessing it's the former he had in mind.
I know (or think) you’re joking. But it’s an interesting question about cultural literacy: can someone refer to a “Fab Five” of the past (“back in the day”) without seeming to make a mistake?
Please, let me believe that Disney’s Fab Five postdated the Beatles.
