The "cyptic crossword", or as the English call them the "crossword", clue for that might be: Central Brussels, we hear.
Good one. How about “Sights and sounds of central Brussels”? Not as concise as yours though.
The SW corner of the NYT puzzle was stumping me for a while, and then after I got that done, I finished the Saturday Stumper, too. Red Letter Day! Sometimes it takes all week.....
