I like how you added to your sane washing piece, below.
Yes, NYT should be better. I reflected that maybe our society no longer wants journalists or young people to strive for excellence.
So I web searched Minister of Education (during Camelot) John Gardner's book Excellence. Turns out he wrote other books too, so now I will splurge for them all, ordering from my indie book store. The very thought makes my day. (I sure hope they are still in print!)
