From the podcast Mac Power Users, James Thomson comments on Liquid Glass. Thomson is the developer of PCalc and worked on the Mac Dock:
“I think if you have to switch on an accessibility option for your stuff to be usable by, let's say, 75% of the population, I think you’ve failed.”
But he does say some more generous things: “I think some of it is fine.” And: “I like the liquid; I don’t like the glass.”
If you are still in Sequoia or Sonoma and want to update to 15.7.2 (Sequoia) or 14.8.2 (Sonoma), make sure that you do not unwittingly update to macOS 26 (Tahoe). Apple doesn’t make it easy to choose correctly. Michael Tsai’s blog explains.
I didn’t unwittingly update to Tahoe. I kept my wits about me.
