our local foodbank requested bread, proteins, and produce. i took a bag of onions and a bag of red potatoes yesterday. one of the pet places donated dog and cat food. and while leaving a van half full of food items pulled up.

ps not to be too cynical but i saw that the admin is not saying they will provide some of the funds but not sure how much and when the recipients will receive it. hmm, could this be due to an election tomorrow in many states.
I’ve always read that money goes further than food itself. But you should follow their lead, of course.
I saw today on the news that the administration will not use the funds available for precisely this sort of situation — thus the partial payments. Cold comfort. I think you’d have to be naive indeed to be persuaded by this meager effort.
We took a check to our local food bank this afternoon. Five minutes before they opened, the parking lot was full, and more vehicles kept pulling in.
