You're welcome, Michael. Let's hope that the move to proven methods, such as phonics, maintains momentum. Too many students have fallen behind. Without the ability to read at grade level, so much other learning is hampered.
And it’s generally understood that if a child isn’t reading at grade level by the end of third grade, the deficit is not likely to be made up.
