Advice from one who’s been

You do not want to get the bivalent COVID booster and this year’s flu vaccine at the same time. You just don’t. That’s advice from one who’s been.

Too late for me. I already got both at once. And felt well and truly rotten.

Feel better soon!

Fresca, did you mention getting both? I remember you writing just about the booster.

Joe, thanks. I’m feeling much better than yesterday, but still more than a bit loopy and achy.

i'm sorry but good to know! this post just cracked me up.

by the way, i don't get flu shots and never have. i last had the flu in 1986 and it was so bad i couldn't even move to change the tv stations -- stuck watching 'she-ra."

living in dc and traveling on public transportation everyday still didn't get it.

Good deal!

I’m feeling almost like myself now, just a little feverish. Drinking lots of water is supposed to be good after any COVID shot. So I’m drinking water.

Boosted, waiting a bit before getting the flu shot.
Happy ro read that you feel (almost) like yourself now, I hope you will soon be able to drop the "almost"!

As of this morning, I’m me again. : )

MICHAEL: I didn't mention getting the flu shot. I did have a bigger reaction--fever and aches--than to previous boosters, but I wasn't sure if that was perhaps because the Covid booster was new juice, or if it was the double vaccine...
At any rate, I should have said, as a public service.
Glad you are you again!!!

I’m going to leave a comment at Lifehacker (which I read about once every six months), where they’re telling people they can get both together. Yes, and everyone’s mileage varies, but maybe not the best idea.

Lifehacker’s comment system (and the tracking that comes with it) is not worth the effort. I tried three times. Sorry, Lifehacker.
