A place for everything . . .

. . .  and everything in its place.

This photograph makes me feel less cluttered already. But it’s not going to stop me from taking a pile of books to the library today for the next book sale.

Here are a couple of photographs of my desk, without and with a desk organizer. You can see right away the difference an organizer makes.

This post is for Matt Thomas, who occasionally posts photographs of desks at Submitted for Your Perusal.

Hey, didn’t we (you and I and some other bloggers) post photos of our pencil and pen pots once too?

Love it, particularly the stove, near which sits an ashtray, an emblem of the dowdy world. I'd change out those florescent lights though. Also by photographer Alfred Eisenstaedt: this famous image.

The ashtray: good catch.

Searching for his name in the Life Photo Archive returns quite a few results, maybe not all correct.
