Tomorrow is Independent Bookstore Day. And in The Bronx it’s opening day for a new independent bookstore, The Lit. Bar. The borough has been without a general interest bookstore since 2016. Kudos to Noëlle Santos for bringing a bookstore to The Bronx.

Wow! I want to go get lit there!
P.S. This is like revenge of "You've Got Mail":
the big box closes, and the shop around the corner comes back.
This is happening here in Mpls too--THREE new indie bookstores opened this year (though three also closed).
The only B&N is in the burbs. (I was sorry to see the last downtown one close, but the indies pop up in neighborhoods.)
Wonderful news (though not the bookstores closing).
