ReplyDeleteYes, that‘s Lawrence Tierney in his first starring role, in Dillinger (1946). He‘s in the Biograph Theater, laughing at a cartoon, not long before being gunned down by the feds.

ReplyDeleteWith the glasses, superficially my first thought was of Peter Sellers before I read the description.
ReplyDeleteHe does make me think of Peter Sellers in Dr. Strangelove. But quite a different fellow.
ReplyDeleteOh, myyyy, read the bio. He was in Star Trek: The Next Generation in "The Big Goodbye" as Cyrus Redblock, a character meant to evoke Sydney Greenstreet. Also in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine as a less memorable (to me) character.
