That's terrific, Michael. I know that you follow baseball only out of the corner of your eye, but they're playing good ball right now. My Ernie Banks Bobblehead figure is bobbing in approval of this post and that pencil.
ReplyDeleteYes, eight in a row now. I caught that on the news last night before Colbert.
ReplyDeleteI guess you'd use it to write out-of-the-park prose.
ReplyDeleteOr poetry (Homer).
ReplyDeleteHow old is that?
ReplyDeleteWeirdly, my dad had some novelty mechanical pencils that (sadly) disappeared. The one I remember best had an eight ball at the end.
It’s new. You can find them online (with various team names) or, I’m assuming, at the stadium.
ReplyDeleteMy brother reminds me that we had bat-shaped pens and pencils and miniature Hillerich & Bradsby bats.
