Kristi Noem has been removed as the head of DHS. The Guardian reports that she will become (a? the?) special envoy for “the Shield of the Americas,” a security initiative yet to be announced.
Minneapolis mayor Jacob Frey’s comment, when queried by MSNOW about Noem’s removal: “Good riddance.”

the interesting thing is that she didn't get to give the "i'm leaving to spend more time with my family" speech which in DC is code for "i'm about to get fired and this is the way of me leaving with dignity." the hearing was probably the last straw especially this clip. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkPYGmTvqpY
