From Aaron Rupar. A reporter speaks with the current occupant:
“She [Delcy Rodríguez] called it kidnapping, of Maduro.”
“That’s alright. That’s not a bad term.”
What does the occupant mean? That “kidnapping” is not a bad description? That kidnapping is not a bad thing to do? That’s it neither a bad description nor a bad thing to do?
Let’s drop “capture,” U.S. media, and call it what it is.

Yes, it seems to me "capture" means a state of legal capturement, (such as war) already exists, while "kidnap" means something out of the blue. "The gangs were at peace when the godfather was kidnapped."
ReplyDeleteI would not have thought I would see journalists so incompetent in my lifetime. Perhaps journalists are part of "America in decline."
Too many of them are not living up to their responsibility to the public.
