i noticed this yesterday while working on a document on my mac and wondered why there were so many. i also thought it was cluttering up the dropdown menus! i can barely figure out what emojis mean. and that they are so small -- everyone's vision changes over time!!!

ps apple's head designer has left so perhaps this will get corrected.

I think Apple's vision has changed greatly — and yes, that guy, whoever he is, has left for Meta.
I hope the next version of the operating systems is much more appealing — I'm not planning to get OS 26 in any of its forms.
