The CPB will be no more

From The New York Times:

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting said Friday that it would shut down next year, effectively ending its half-century role as a backer of NPR, PBS, and local radio and TV stations across the United States.

Giving money to your local NPR/PBS station(s) has never been more important. When we upped our contribution and the online form asked why we were donating, I wrote “Because I don’t like it when people break things.”
