I know what you mean. All of these gruesome murders happen in these quaint little villages. Visit Britain can't like that. It's bad for tourism.
In the words of Popeye, "I yam what I yam and dats all that I yam". Or, in the words of Mr. Wizard, "Be just what you is not what you is not. Folks what do this has the happiest lot."
'Tis the quaintness and coziness that I find uninviting. But I'll watch a Stanley Baker or Judi Dench movie any day.
