I like how you share this history. (and other things from those books) President Harry Truman used to get funny looks. from reporters when (from memory) he said, "The only thing new is the history you do not know."
With Caligula, any number of statements seem to be hearsay, but what fascinates me is the way the current occupant resembles the character that Suetonius presents.
