I asked Elaine which TV husband she would choose if she had to: Ralph Kramden, Fred Mertz, Ed Norton, or Ricky Ricardo. She chose Norton. I’d say she chose wisely.
But turnabout is fair play. Elaine gave me a choice of four TV wives: Roseanne Conner, Estelle Costanza, Endora, or Phyllis Lindstrom. Cruel, eh?
I chose Phyllis, because, I said, at least I could have an affair, as Phyllis’s husband Lars did. But I forgot that Lars’s affair was with Sue Ann Nivens, WJM-TV’s Happy Homemaker.
Game, set, match to Elaine.

Not sure what point you’re trying to make, but I’d say game, set, and match to you. In her day, Sue Anne Nivens (Betty White) was a very attractive woman, a bit flirtatious but in a playful way. The real Betty told a lot of off-color jokes that could make grown men blush, but I found that endearing. If, as Phyllis’s husband you did have an affair — not that I condone it — you could do a lot worse than Sue Anne.
My point was that Elaine bested me in the game of offering unlikely choices. I would find any relationship with Sue Ann Nivens — the character — a nightmare. No disrespect to Betty White!
