A Christmas song

I’ve come to think of it as the greatest Christmas song of all time (sorry, Mel Tormé). From 1929, it’s the Cotton Top Sanctified Singers, with “Christ Was Born on Christmas Morn.”

I’ve never heard this song before. I’m kinda partial to Judy Garland’s version of “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” from the 1944 movie Meet Me in Saint Louis and The Vienna Boys’ Choir’s “The Little Drummer Boy” from the 1968 animation TV special of the same name.

The Garland song is so moving. I like Sinatra’s recording of “The Christmas Waltz” a lot too.

Thanks for the recommendation. I’ll give The Christmas Waltz a listen. You can never go wrong with The Chairman of the Board.
