That's a beautiful arrangement of a wonderful composer's music. It's not just me. As I was playing it last night, my wife stopped and said: "What is that? It's beautiful!"
It’s such a great piece. Take a look at the video that the violinist Augustin Hedelich made during lockdown, with musicians from everywhere, one at a time.
“And the reason we have this beautiful arrangement is because of Elaine Fine.”
🙌 Woo-hoo 🎉 !!!
Elaine would never say it herself, but her arrangements are a major reason for the renewed appreciation of this piece. The online German music magazine Van said she is “wohl die Pionierin der weiten Welt der Adoration-Adaptionen” — “probably the pioneer of the wide world of ‘Adoration’ adaptations.”
