Clearly, I must have one of these for the house, but no doubt I'll need to settle for a trip to NYC :-) It's quite ingenious how the book holder part of the car swivels to keep the book level no matter what the orientation of the track. The trip to NYC is probably the better value. I saw the system — well, as much as the layperson can see — earlier this week while visiting the Rose Reading Room. The color choice and the swiveling carts make this technology really appealing.

I liked that short film and the idea of the bookmobile. There are many accounts of how valuable traveling libraries were in rural areas too. Also: librarians on horseback.
