In The Washington Post, Jennifer Rubin writes about yesterday’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearing: “Most members on the committee spoke too much, argued too frequently and failed to pin down Barr on key facts. There was one exception to the political demolition derby.” That was Senator Kamala Harris (D-California). Here she is:

So, I can see someone knew the answers to the questions and that's why they were asked! In trial classes in law school, it was hammered into us: don't ask a question you don't already know the answer to.
It was obvious to me that someone wasn't prepared for this hearing which never comes across as good. Or perhaps was counting on the askers to not know what they needed to ask.
I will say that I have sat in some DC hearings and absolutely cringed when I heard the questions from Congressional people. I knew the answer and it was difficult to watch and hear someone try to tap dance around the question in their answer.

He was beginning to sound like Porky Pig there at the end. I half expected to hear the Looney Tunes theme song and see him surrounded by the fade-out frame.
Harris was good!
Will have to wait and see. Remember she did get over her skis with “Medicare-for-All”.
She's' a prosecutor. As anonymous said, one of the first rules in law school is don't ask a question that you don't know the answer to. Maybe I should go watch some Perry Mason and look for that . . .
