Ask in a restaurant or coffee shop, who is about ½ your age, and mention music roll. After the stare ask them do they know that Doris Day died.
Yes, the music roll is pretty arcane. But my daughter, about half my age, loves Calamity Jane and The Pajama Game. Nellie McKay, much more than half my age, recorded a Doris Day tribute album. Granted, they’re exceptions.
