Our local newspaper has had a 1200 × 675 version of this image front and center on its website, all week. That’s the big story, at least online: the fidget-spinner craze and whether it will last. That’s the news.

Not to be snarky about your local paper, but I thought that craze (whatever it was—I've never seen one) faded a while back. I could be wrong.
From Aug. 18 Washington Post: "Kids are over fidget spinners. Adults are just getting into them."
Alas, our local paper deserves the snark.
