As a fellow language lover, I want to point out that in my day, Hallowe'en had an apostrophe between the two ee's, something that my computer ROM dictionary still allows. (as well as the new fangled spelling)

I don’t think we could afford that apostrophe in Brooklyn. :) But given my habit of typing ’phone for fun, I might have to think about using it.
