A new book from Olivia Jaimes: Nancy Wins at Friendship (Kansas City, MO: Andrews McMeel, 2023). Mostly 2020 Nancy strips.
Olivia Jaimes is a brilliant successor to Ernie Bushmiller. The Family Ritz and friends are in good hands.

Even the cover! Wins at friendship, loses at basketball.
--Fresca
I might be overthinking it, but I think there’s some snark in that title. “Winning,” for Nancy, seems to mean having everyone else do what you ask of them, no?
Michael, there may be something to that. Nancy seems pleased, despite having missed the really easy shot. Her friends appear, well, less pleased. Are they not pleased because she missed the shot or because Nancy made them hoist her to the basket? Are the kids that aren't hoisting Nancy annoyed that they weren't "asked" to provide an assist? For Nancy was making the shot even the point? And the sunglasses -- Is Nancy wearing them to say that "I'm the cool kid in the group"? Does Nancy even care that the ball will likely hit the kid laying beneath the basket?
I didn’t even think about the basketball’s arc.
The sunglasses remind me of the celebrated “Sluggo is lit” panel. Nancy always considers herself something of a star.
