Scott Pelley, on the CBS Evening News a few minutes ago: “a secret stash of momentos.” Oops. Stop playing with your eyeglasses, sir, and start proofreading.
I’ll post a link to the video when it becomes available.

And here it is. The story starts at 14:27.
[The broadcast clocks in at 15:14. Which means that the news is about half commercials?]

No doubt he has a secret stash of Mentos in his desk.
I have not seen this newscast. But if this were "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me!" on NPR, I'd guess this has something to do with the white fabric bag of Apollo 11 fiddly bits that Neil Armstrong's wife found among his belongings after his death.
Carl Kassel, how did he do?
That desk has drawers? : )
Yes, it was a story about Neil Armstrong. Someone on Twitter heard “momentos” too. The video is yet to appear.
See? BS....
Maybe they were actually referring to Moon-mentos :-)
I think I shall someday sit with watch, pen and paper to notate and then calculate as documentation just how much of "news" is sponsored by how much commercial messaging. Instinctively, the non-numerical answer is already "too much."
