This isn’t the first time there’s been a problem with food coloring in Hi and Lois. In 2011, the Flagstons were using black ketchup, giving rise to an Orange Crate Art caption challenge.

Fight the temptation to manually fix the artwork in Hi & Lois. Once you get started, there's so much work to be done that you might not have time to do anything else.
I’m trying to be ultra-selective. This one I just couldn’t walk away from. :)
