I thought you were a Midwesterner. Where did your son get his Bluegrass chops?
From acoustic music more generally and playing with capable people.
I’m in the midwest though not from it. But I don’t think geography has any necessary relation to music that you come to love. I took to pre-war blues as a teenager in New Jersey.
