The New Grown-Ups: “Cumberland Gap”

Our son Ben Leddy is a member of The New Grown-Ups, who just took first in a new-band showcase at the Thomas Point Beach Bluegrass Festival in Brunswick, Maine. That’s a sample above.

Notice the New Grown-Ups logo, top left. Ben is a clever guy. He’s on mandolin. All said and done.

WOW, how is it that the audience is not jumping like Mexican jumping beans- how could anyone stand still. This band is the best I have heard all summer, great start to my morning.
Love the name, too!
Thank you for this posting. WOO HOO!

I have a friend that is a huge bluegrass fan. I sent a link to the video to him. His response: "Love them. I was in 4th row at the festival." We're making plans to go to an upcoming show.

how did the interest in bluegrass music develop?

From acoustic music generally and jamming with capable people. Guitar, then banjo, then mandolin.
