They keep saying \ˈdī-əs\.
The Merriam-Webster app has \'dā-əs\. M-W Online gives \ˈdī-əs\ as “nonstandard.” The more we hear members of Congress sounding a long i, the more difficult it becomes to hear the long a as right.

I haven't been listening to the past few days as much as I did the Intelligence Committee hearings, so only heard this pronunciation once, I think. But I noticed it and thought, What?
I wish I’d kept track. But I heard people from both parties. And I didn’t hear the long a at all.
Chris Hayes just said it correctly!
