I’ve never eaten a sardine, but I’m curious: how do they compare to pickled herring?

Wouldn’t you know it —I’ve never eaten pickled herring. But my wife, who has, says “Completely different.” If you want to try sardines, I’d suggest skinless and boneless first, in olive oil, not water. Good luck!
