I've admired Alice Munro's stories but never slowed down enough to wonder at her passages--thanks for allowing me to to that here.
I’ve wondered why I’ve never thought to look at her work before (I heard her read in the 1980s), and I realize why: Because short stories. Now that I’m no longer teaching, I’m much more attuned to fiction in all forms.
