Coincidentally, I just came across these strikingly similar Krazy Kat "rocks":

The lettering doesn't look like George Herriman's usual style, so I suspect this is from a version someone else translated into Spanish, even though Herriman did use a fair amount of the language in the strip.
There is that cluster of three rocks near the tree/twig, but that's being too nitpicky, huh? Maybe this is the larger community of rocks to which Bushmiller's three belong, or, maybe, they've slid closer to Ernie's three and huddled together for warmth.

Martha, not even Bushmiller always keeps to three. I’m just being careful with my some usage. :)

I can sympathize.
When I saw this I wondered why some rocks warranted eyes and life and others didn't. The mystery.
