“What kind of thinker are you?”

A three-question quiz from The Guardian: “What kind of thinker are you?”

Me, analytical.

I am the sort of person who knows those are tricksy questions, and so she skips to the end to read the results, and then finds the tone of the results-writer to be awfully snotty [as, in "oh, you poor female dupes who will never make it to OXbridge"].

In other words, intuitive. :0

My son pointed out that his response to the test was influenced by knowing that it was important to get the right answers. The Hawthorne effect, I think.

I was so happy to get the right answer to anything involving mathematics that I didn’t even read the explanations carefully. I agree — they sound rather condescending, at least to my American ear.

Intuitive (and lazy).
