I think the most epic use of the term nonplussed was when novelist Michael Peterson used it to describe his opinion of his being found guilty of homicide.
I saw it on the late, great "City Confidential," and almost spat out my Cheerios at the chutzpah.... Wish I could find a video link.
Was he using it correctly? From the context, I can’t tell.
